The more applications in a company are classified as business-critical, the more important it is to keep their individual downtimes as low as possible and their data consistent with each other. Critical applications are typically protected against disasters with various hardware and software-based disaster recovery solutions. However, these solutions rarely succeed in restoring data consistently across an entire application landscape.
